Week 14 That Was The Week That Was

The end for the Azzurri as Buffon also signs off
The week began with the Irish putting up a spirited fight against the Swiss
But it came down to 'that penalty' in the 1st leg of which the ref was amiss.
The biggest upset was 'a national tragedy' with Italian fans rightly dismayed.
Italy's oldest coach was criticised when Insigne the best striker wasn't played.
The rest of the Irish nation saw their World Cup dreams in torn up in tatters.
Martin O'Neill's gung ho approach didn't pay off showing it sometimes flatters.
Did a second best England deserve the plaudits for their display against Brazil?
Their defence kept Brazil at arms length but the team hardly showed much skill.
It's one thing setting out a team intent on stopping the opposition from scoring
But you can't do that to the fans in every game because it is quite frankly boring!
Big Sam went on record to tell all he's out of the running for the Everton position.
For somebody never in consideration for a permanent role, that's quite a decision!
