Week 45 That Was The Week That Was

The best kit and one of the best goals by Musa
VAR made it's debut in a World Cup but not with a great success
It only helped an average French side get out of an unlikely mess.
Like de Gea, Messi saw his 'great' reputation take a downward turn
As Gylfi and his Iceland team mates, their first World Cup point did earn.
As Mexico beat Germany and unbelievably Brazil were held by the Swiss
VAR wasn't used by the ref on a penalty decision so really what use is this?
As if to make the point Kane was mugged in the area without due recourse.
Even worse was the two man assault on Mitrovic, unanswered of course!
Other highlights from this first full week were Musa's goals for Nigeria
While Shaqiri's winner against Iceland gave the Swedish fans hysteria
Neymar is having a roller coaster ride one minute diving then sheer brilliance
Argentina found themselves on a knife edge and need a lot more resiliance.
Croatia, with Modric and Rakitic impressive, look one of the best up to now
Modric's strike against Argentina made everyone just go - 'Wow!'
