Hmmm. A Quiz you say?

As we head towards the holiday season it is always a good time to pass around a quiz. Here is one we found popular in the past... fill in the names of the missing English football clubs (not just Premier League) to complete the story.

Having become engaged to a Spanish sailor, who lived in a magnificent V----(5) in Spain, Princess C------(7) left her room early one morning, in the family's C------ P----- (6,6), to sail overseas to be with him.

First of all she had to make her way to the P---------(10) to catch the boat which was moored in a murky B--------(9) at the SO------(8) of the M------- (8). As this involved going through the F-----(6) where there were dangerous W-----(6), she was escorted by some of the Q----- P--- R-----S(6,4,7) who were armed with rifles from their A------(7).

On the way they took rest in a M-------- (9) for lunch, where the trees bore many a B---(4), before they P-------(7) to catch the ship before dark.

On board she had her own cabin, though the captain insisted she kept the B-----(6) the door to protect her from the C----(5) who mainly slept in the ship's H---(4). She had a fire in the room which she was able to S----(5) and that helped B-------(8) the darkness whilst she was R------(7).

Near the end of the journey the captain announced the death of a sailor from food poisoning, probably from eating some O-----(6). She disembarked eventually in Spain, which L----(5) me to tell you that her fiancee was indeed royalty and that they lived happily ever after in their N--------, U-----(9,6) forever.
