After a flurry of travelling up and down the country, and struggling to find somewhere to practice, the band bagged their first gig in July 2015, in Oxford for The Young Women’s Music Project 15th Anniversary. Then, after watching their set at Sŵn in Cardiff 2015, Huw Stephens, the festival’s co-organiser, took a shine to them, mentioning them in NME and on his Radio 1 show soon after. Adam Walton of BBC Radio Wales has adopted the band too, giving them a spin on his show almost every week. The Shipping Forecast, Forever True Tattoo, Bar Burrito and Maguire’s Pizza Bar all hold a special place in the group's heart too, and they've done the hard yards already in embedding themselves in their adopted home.
The band passed the difficult first EP challenge with flying colours when they released 'No Fun' in 2015 which prompted much deserved airplay across BBC Introducing shows in both Merseyside and Wales. Then their single 'Oh George,' released via bandcamp in April 2016, picked up where 'No Fun' left off earning rotations on Radio 1. This was followed in 2016 by the 7" single, 'I'm Not Your Problem'/'Fortune Favours the Bold' on the Canadian label Kingfisher Bluez. In 2017 they released the 10-track EP, 'Are You Sure?' on Alcopop! Records which received mostly positive reviews. Two of the tracks, 'Same Place' and 'Seafoam Islands', also feature on a 7" single on Oddbox Records. Invicta Magazine called the EP, "the perfect collection of tracks to soundtrack a summer" and Vulture Sound said it was "a delightful introduction to one of the UK’s most exciting new bands". Early in 2018, having created quite the local and regional buzz over the last year or so, they played their first headline show at 81 Renshaw Street. Music blog Getintothis had this to say about their performance, " they're as good (if not better) live than they are on record, which is great as their CD is delightful. They're note-perfect and have an affable stage presence. They are, in our opinion, a cut above many other bands around these parts, and it's great to see that they didn't disappoint on the night". In May 2019 they recorded a session for Marc Riley's show on BBC Radio 6 Music before releasing 'Breakfast' in June on their Bandcamp page and the video for the song premiered on the UK music website The 405. Playing in mainland Europe was a new experience for the band, as they appeared in 2019 at the Madrid Pop Fest and in Amsterdam with Kero Kero Bonito which they say was one of their fave all-time gigs so far.
In January 2020, the band recorded a second Marc Riley session and announced the release of a new song, 'Kaizen', taken from the Japanese word meaning 'change for the good', which was available both digitally and as a limited edition 7" vinyl single, with 'Breakfast' on the 'b-side'. It is the band’s first new material since their 2017 EP, 'Are You Sure?' and was expected to come ahead of their forthcoming January/February 2020 headline tour dates, a March performance at Ritual Union festival in Bristol, and their biggest ever UK headline date at The Lexington, London on 6th May 2020. Their Facebook page states, 'Yes, we are rescheduling our headline tour again! March 2021.'
They are a force to be reckoned with live and have supported the likes of 'The Cribs' and 'The Big Moon' and make music that has the energy of punk and the fizzy pop harmonies of 1960s beat groups.
