Pool Of Sound - Kelly Cresswell

Her Facebook page states, "I'm Kelly Cresswell... I write and perform my own songs as well as interpreting other artists wonderful music. This is the place to hear my stuff, find out about any upcoming live streams etc and any other music related stuff from me."
Kelly Cresswell is a multi-instrumentalist and singer songwriter and an upcoming independent singer-songwriter from Widnes who took up learning to play instruments and songwriting as a form of escapism early on in April 2020. She began entertaining online audiences on social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram, uploading home recordings and live streaming regularly and has been busy writing and producing her own music at home ever since. Now she has been busy recording her own music alongside working with two local music producers in her home town of Widnes. An NHS nurse by trade, along with being a wife and mother, music and songwriting has helped her immensely in coping with what has been going on in the world since the start of the pandemic.
With a musical style comparative to artists such as Amy Winehouse and Paloma Faith, Kelly has now taken up performing in her hometown and is looking to reach wider audiences with her music in the future. She has not only also begun to perform live as a solo artist mainly, but also enjoys collaborating with other musicians.in venues locally, since covid restrictions were lifted in England, and hopes to continue to do so.

She is also a vocalist and percussionist in a band called 'Clear Head Space' that she joined early in 2021. They perform original music along with giving covers a new lease of life with their unique style!
Her music is available on all of the usual streaming platforms and has been played regularly on lots of independent and internet radio stations.
Her debut single was 'Try', a blues
rock ballad, which was released in June 2021 alongside 'That Summer'. 'Try' is a soulful blues rock ballad that gained lots of interest from radio stations and her many followers. Kelly collaborated with guitarist and music producer Colin Guthrie on this beautiful track.

'Green Light' is a sophomore single that she wrote in the thick of the 2020 lockdown and was released on the 20th of August 2021. The inspiration for this song came to her when she was driving home from work one evening and all of the traffic lights were green - deserted roads and she was an NHS Nurse so was working through the whole lockdown. This is her third single release of 2021 and was filmed in the beautiful surroundings of Walton Hall and Gardens in Warrington and is a song she wrote about her brave move into becoming a musician and a recording artist as an over forty year old Mum in 2020. Following a hiatus from making and sharing her music after having a holiday and a major life change, 'You Don't Know Me' followed, a song she wrote after having a nasty experience with an online troll who used to attack her with horrible comments during her Facebook live streams - before she blocked her!
It was her way of sending a big middle finger to all of the jealous haters out there, who hide behind their keyboards and mobile phone screens trying to make other people feel small.
