Liverpudlian Gerry Culligan is the CWU Bootle Branch secretary with Andy also a member together with Howard a former member of the Union. In 2019 they released a powerful song highlighting the terrible trauma of domestic abuse. 'The Day She Closed The Door' tells the story of a woman, who suffers both emotionally and physically at the hands of her bullying partner, explains Gerry, who has been involved in the Liverpool music scene for several decades. "The topic for the song just came about when I came up with the line; 'Violence and fear were never a part of the deal'," he explains. "I think the message is that, sometimes walking away from abuse can be the only option – but it's often not an easy step to take, especially for women. I hope CWU members will watch it and listen to the words of the song and then share with friends and family. It's important to get this message out there."

Guardian Angel

They received publicity in Germany in 2018 with their single, 'Someday' and the album, 'Guardian Angel' described as 'Enthusiastic, light-footed, absolute catchy tune potential as Classic Rock meets Mersey Beat'.

On the 23rd of November 2021 Gerry posted on Facebook, "Big surprise today. Test pressings of the new Fab Bams album Taper all the Madness arrived a few months early. Adele, Big fan of the band told the pressing plants to hang fire on her album for half an hour to run ours off. She loved the Guardian Angel album as it helped to get her through Lockdown and kept her in the gym and out of the chippy. Honest."
