Pool Of Sound - Lemonade Fix

The 3rd of May 2018 saw the debut performance of 'Lemonade Fix' when they completed the bill at the Buyers Club and regulars on the Liverpool gig circuit will be well aware of their combined talents. As Luke Fenlon and Sam McVann, previously of 'The Sugarmen' teamed up with the former 'Strange Collective' bass player Michael Robinson, ex-'FUSS' guitarist Karl Byrne completes the line up. The band, who have been practising for a number of months, will be airing new music for the first time. At District in July 2018 Getintothis said, "Lemonade Fix bring the West Coast to Liverpool and we spend most of the set trying to work out if by West Coast they mean California or Merseyside in general.  There appears to be references to both.  But this pretty much nails down their sound, the music is laid back West Coast Californian desert rock guitar mixed with some more local vocals mentioning Sevvy Park and taking the bus to town.  Meanwhile we can’t help but be transfixed by former 'Strange Collective' bass player Michael Robinson who seems to hardly move a muscle but manages to play some amazingly groovy bass lines at the same time."

At Brick Street in July 2019

In January 2019 they were support act of the evening as The Murder Capital kicked off their 2019 tour at Liverpool's EBGBS. GIT said, " This upcoming band will also be looking to make an impression as they add to the supports slots that they enjoyed in 2018 which included an outing at the 02 Academy in October 2018 where they supported 'The Vryll Society'. Sounds From Nowhere were there then to see them perform. "Lemonade Fix are playing to a quarter of the room when we arrive but are giving it 100%. Most of their songs appear to be based around some element or other of The Beatles', 'Revolver', with hurdy gurdy 'Tomorrow Never Knows' patterns and uplifting 'Good Day Sunshine' hooks. Years ago they would be referred to as a supergroup, these days they are just a top idea, with the combined talents of 'The Sugarmen', 'Strange Collective' and 'FUSS'. The collective confidence of these band's former glories might not be quite there yet but the final psychedelic showdown ensures greater things to come."

Before releasing their album, The Apple Tree' in July 2019, they were at the Shipping Forecast in March 2019. Popped Music were there and had this to say, " Opening the night was 'The Lemonade Fix'. This four piece were definitely inspired by the past, but their psychedelic garage rock was energetic, fun, and most aptly a vein of music which could run directly from the Hudson to the Mersey. Yes, that vein has been mined repeatedly, but you don’t stop digging for gold just because someone else has found some. The scuzz and buzz within their music was powerful enough to occupy the mind as well as the ears as there was a heady level of complexity within it. This was music which had been crafted as well as jammed into existence."
